Natural Jaggery Sakar (Desi Sakar) – Crunchy Jaggery Granules, Farm Direct Punjab
If you like your jaggery with a bit of bite instead of a smooth powder, this is for you. Our Desi Sakar is made from the same fresh sugarcane juice, cooked in an iron kadhai on our farm in Gurdaspur, then hand-broken into coarse granules and sun-dried until crunchy. No sulphur, no chemical clarificants, no added color — just real gur, dried a little longer and left grainy on purpose.
Unlike fine jaggery powder that dissolves the moment it hits tea or batter, Sakar keeps its crunch. It's traditionally eaten plain after a meal, offered in prasad, or dropped into warm milk to slowly melt while you drink.
Made in small batches during the cane season, our Sakar carries natural variation in grain size and color — a sign it hasn't been machine-processed to look uniform.
